The name Arraigo reflects our essence: deep roots in our land, a commitment to quality, and respect for the generations of farmers who have perfected the art of coffee cultivation. From the moment the first seed is planted to the final sip, we ensure that every bean carries the warmth and authenticity of its origin.

Our Team

Julian Giraldo

Julian was born and raised in the hills of Aranzazu, Caldas, surrounded by the rich landscapes of Colombia’s coffee region. From an early age, he developed a deep connection to nature — a life shaped by open fields, horses, and the rhythms of rural living. Inspired by his father’s lifelong dedication to coffee farming, Julian grew up with a profound respect for the land and the craft that sustains it. Though life later took him to Europe, where he built a career as a chef, his roots in Colombia remained ever present. Arraigo was born from that very sense of belonging. With a desire to honour his family’s legacy and share the flavours of his homeland, Julian created Arraigo as a way to bring authentic, single-origin Colombian coffee to new places, while staying true to the traditions that shaped him. Today, through Arraigo, Julian combines his love of food, nature, and culture — offering not just coffee, but a story of heritage, craftsmanship, and connection.

Luisa Lopez

Born in the picturesque city of Manizales, just a stone's throw from the coffee heartland of Aranzazu, Luisa’s roots lie in Colombia’s vibrant culture and stunning landscapes. While she didn’t grow up on a farm, her love for nature and the simple joy of breathing the fresh mountain air has always been a part of her life. At 23, Luisa moved to the UK to study English, and it was here that she met Julian. A professional marketer with a master's degree in international marketing, she’s built a career centred around storytelling, strategy, and digital innovation. Luisa’s passion for digital marketing is matched only by her newfound love for coffee — a world she’s embraced through her journey with Julian and Arraigo. With a keen eye for growth and an understanding of the global market, Luisa is now committed to sharing the story of Colombian coffee with the world, one cup at a time.

Carlos Alberto Giraldo

In the mountains of Aranzazu, where the land is as rich as its culture, Don Alberto has devoted his life to the craft of coffee. Born into a family of coffee farmers, he inherited not just the land, but a legacy of tradition, hard work, and a deep respect for nature. A man of few words but profound action, Don Alberto is deeply connected to his soil, tending to his fields with a dedication passed down through generations. For him, coffee is more than just a crop; it is a way of life, a means of preserving his family's heritage and honouring the earth that sustains them. With a conservative spirit and a heart full of dreams, Don Alberto continues the work his father began, ensuring that the values of quality, patience, and respect for tradition remain at the heart of every harvest. His passion for coffee is woven into the very fabric of his being, and it is reflected in every cup. It is this unwavering dedication that inspired his son, Julian, to bring the legacy of Arraigo to the world.
